DRILLING TOOLS

Standard wireline core barrel equipment allows to recover the inner tube and the core it contains, without having to withdraw the rod string. Wireline core barrels are run on large bore wireline rods. The large diameter pipe allows the inner tube to move up or down inside the rods. We recommend using the wireline core barrel instead of a stationary inner tube barrel.

NEXT Q®

Next Q® is Boart Longyear's latest core barrel innovation with such features as the patented link latch mechanism, two piece latch body with reversible/replaceable landing shoulder, and optional fluid retention and dry hole valve kits. Triple-tube core barrels are commonly selected when drilling coal, clay bearing or highly fractured formations. A second inner tube (split lengthwise) is contained inside the standard inner tube. The core ejection piston protects the core from pressurized drilling fluid when the split inner tube, containing the core sample, is pumped out of the standard inner tube. Upon removal, one half of the split tube is lifted off to reveal the undisturbed core sample.

OVERSHOTS

Overshots are designed to run on wireline and consist of lifting dogs , jar tube and swivel. The overshot is used to lower the core barrel in dry wells or in the case of low water tables during which a release coupling is also used.

CONVERSION KITS

To help customers avoid the costs of acquiring a completely new core barrel system, there are specially designed conversion kits allowing inter operability of tooling designed by different manufacturers. There are also kits for converting core barrels for surface drilling to those for subterranean drilling.

MINING TOOLS

If problems arise inside the well, a series of tools have been developed to help extract the damaged drill rod, casing, cable and other objects that are difficult to reach through the wellhead.

We offer an entire line of adapter couplings created for easy assembly of an entire system. We also offer couplings with a hollow end-n , allowing you to adjust them to your needs.

UNIVERSAL WATER SWIVEL
